Sale price Price $40.00 Regular price Unit price  per

Our second release from Gesha Village in Ethiopia is tropical and fruit-forward with perfumey florals and sweet aromatics.

It is an extremely rare and exotic Ethiopian variety known as Illubabor Forest and was produced with a natural process. This variety is only found at Gesha Village in Ethiopia and this is the first time we have come across it.

Tasting Notes: Jackfruit, Cantaloupe, Mango, Blueberry, Raspberry, Chocolate

Cup score:  88.75 ☕

The signature elements of coffees from Gesha Village are intense floral and fruity flavours, and this naturally processed Illubabor Forest lives up to this reputation.

On a cupping table of 15 coffees from Gesha Village, this one immediately stood out because of the initial hit of jackfruit in both the dry and wet aroma. The jackfruit also shows up in the cup, accompanied with more tropicals, florals and balanced sweetness.

ABOUT GESHA VILLAGE

Gesha Village Coffee Estate is a 471 hectare Coffee farm in the Bench Maji zone of Ethiopia. Gesha Village started off in 2007 as a project to make a documentary on Ethiopian coffee. The idea to start coffee farming in Ethiopia quickly came into their conversations shortly afterwards.

After a long search they found an untouched piece of land with the perfect conditions to grow coffee near the Gori Gesha forest, which is a site of Panamian Geisha Discovery in the 1930's. They worked tirelessly to convert this piece of land to a fully operational farm and started cultivating wild Gesha plants from the Gori Gesha Forest.
