First tried the Samba and Rochelo and they were both delicious. Then I wanted to try FIX espresso but I simply can’t dial in this beans. Never had a bag that made me struggle like this. Espresso taste sour no matter what. I’ve followed the recipe 91°, 20g in, 35g yield, 24 sec, with a La Marzocco Linea micra and Eureka libra 65 ap. Got a lot of spray/squirt with the bottomless portafilter and it’s not a puck prep issue (WDT, gravity distributor, levelling tamper), I never had beans that sprayed that much. I really wanted to like this coffee but omg I went through an entire 1kg of frustration.
