ANAEROBIC NATURAL PROCESS

The first step of this process is the collection and selection of coffee cherries at their optimum maturation point. Whole Cherries are then floated in mountain spring water and fermented in open tanks for 24 hours. 

After the fermentation is completed, the cherries are transferred manually to the African raised beds for the final sun-drying stage for 25 days.

ABU COFFEE

Abu Coffee was named to honor the memory of José Guillermo Luttrell Tedman, a third generation coffee producer from the Cañas Verdes region of Boquete, Chiriquí in Panama.

"ABU" (short for Abuelo, grandfather in Spanish) is what his grandchildren used to call him. His dream was to achieve the best cup of coffee with the highest standards of quality. Abu Coffee continues to live this dream by producing some of the most incredible and unique coffees available not only in Panama, but globally.
